Anonymous to protect my medical records.

I have had Cluster-Migraines, 1 double sided CH attack, a cycle that switched sides during the cycle and during attacks.

I would never mention these to a doctor because any symptom that isn't classic CH is treated as Migraines not Clusters and I would receive meds that wouldn't work.

My first Neurologist decided that I had Migraines and would give me Imitrex injections or Oxygen. Since I have stopped mentioning any non classic Cluster symptoms I have received proper treatment and lots of pain free time. I am now in a situation of not being able to find a Neurologist to treat me because of my other aliments.

I am sure may other sufferers have learned what I have so symptoms out of the normal go unreported.

Not at all! Even more interesting are those patients who have autonomic symptoms but no pain. I had one who used to wake up at the same time each night with a runny nose and didn't put it together with his former cluster attacks until I asked him about it.

This is the first time I have seen mention of an absence of autonomic symptoms. I am mildly surprised to see that I am joined by 4% of cluster sufferers, all the while thinking I was a complete freak with no company.

Regarding double-sided attacks:
I personally experienced them and there are some reports on clusterheadaches.com regarding double-sided attacks as well.
